The Nambikwara
These photographs are taken during the preproduction trip in 2007 for the documentary Claude Lévi-Strauss: Auprès de l'Amazonie (2008), directed by Marcelo Fortaleza Flores. A selection of the photographs in this section have appeared in the November 2008 issue of the French edition of the National Geographic Magazine to illustrate the article Retour sous les tropiques discussing Lévi-Strauss's journey to the Amazon in 1938 and the revisiting of that journey in Claude Lévi-Strauss: Auprès de l'Amazonie.
